Empowering the Next Generation: The Interschool Upcycling Fair

Our flagship response is the Refresha Trading Enterprises Interschool Upcycling Fair. This innovative sustainability education platform serves schools across KwaZulu-Natal, transforming waste materials into opportunities for creativity, learning, and entrepreneurship.

Through a hands-on, innovation-driven approach, we guide learners to convert everyday waste into creative, functional, and marketable products. In this process, students develop vital, real-world skills:

• Design Thinking: Identifying problems and prototyping solutions.
• Resource Efficiency: Learning to do more with less.
• Problem Solving: Overcoming technical challenges in production.

A Collaborative Future

The programme culminates in a dynamic interschool fair. Here, learners showcase their upcycled creations, exchange ideas, and participate in a collaborative platform that celebrates youth-driven sustainability.
